# External Ad Guide

### What is the external advertising guide?

Apps-in-Toss's external advertising guide sets the standards you must follow when promoting a mini app service launched on Apps-in-Toss through external channels. Its purpose is to help you use the 'Toss Mini App' and 'Apps-in-Toss' brands correctly and follow the policy.

* **Apps-in-Toss**: The official name for backend partners, referring to the system and ecosystem where mini apps can be launched.
* **Toss Mini App**: The UI and marketing/promotion term used for B2C users inside the Toss app.
* **\[Service Name]**: The name displayed in Toss Mini App and the name searchable in the Toss app.

***

### Marketing **Message**

When marketing a mini app launched on Apps-in-Toss, headlines and copy should be written with the Toss app user experience in mind. You should use a call to action (CTA) that encourages users to look for services launched on 'Toss,' or wording that lets them recognize it as a 'Toss Mini App.'

**Primary copy template**

Use the message below and the social hashtag (#) to tell people about your mini app service.

* Discover \[Service Name] as a 'Toss Mini App.'
* Discover \[Service Name] on 'Toss.'
* Search for \[Service Name] on 'Toss.'
* Use \[Service Name] right away on Toss without installing anything.
* \#ServiceName #TossMiniApp #DiscoverOnToss

**CTA button examples**

When trying to drive conversions to a mini app service, such as in performance marketing, encourage app use with the messages below.

* Go use the Toss Mini App
* Use \[Service Name] on Toss
* Try \[Service Name] on Toss

**You can't use any term other than 'Toss Mini App launch.'**

In marketing channels, you must phrase it only as 'Toss Mini App launch.' Please do not use the expressions below.

* Official Toss partner company
* Toss merchant
* Toss affiliate

**Please write it so that the service provider is not confusing.**

You may not use images or wording that could make users mistake the partner company's service provider as Toss, or that could confuse users about the scope of Toss's partnership or operations.

* Advertise on Toss now.
* Since half the country uses it, the results are undeniable.

### Toss Mini App badge

Use the 'Toss Mini App badge' attached in the file below to encourage app use in all digital and print marketing materials.

* Use the black badge as the default. The white badge may only be used when the black badge is deemed difficult to use visually.
* You may use only one 'Toss Mini App badge' per layout or video.
* Place the badge below the app image or main message so that it does not become the central artwork.
* Do not modify the badge, change its angle, or add animation effects.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://developers-apps-in-toss.toss.im/guide/en/marketing/guideline.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
